How it works
- 1
Describe your video
One sentence is enough: what happens in it, and who you made it for.
- 2
Pick a tone
Casual, funny, educational, inspiring, professional or intriguing, short or longer.
- 3
Copy the caption
Three options with hashtags and a character count, ready to paste as they are.
What makes a good TikTok caption
Hook in the first few words
In the feed, people only read the start. “Nobody tells you that…”, a question, a promise: give them a reason to stay.
Add to the video, don’t repeat it
What the picture does not show: the context, the price if you shared it, one extra tip.
Ask a question
“How do you do it?”: a simple question invites comments.
Precise hashtags beat many hashtags
#handmadejewelry says more about your video than #fyp, which everyone uses.
Write the way you talk
The caption should sound like the video: same voice, same words.
Frequently asked questions
How many characters can a TikTok caption have?
TikTok’s documentation for posting tools sets 2,200 characters for a video caption, with most emojis counting as two. The generator counts the same way and shows the total for each caption, hashtags included.
Is the generator really free?
Yes, with no sign-up and no credit card. To keep the tool open to everyone, each visitor gets 15 requests a day, with three captions each.
What should I write in a TikTok caption to get views?
No caption guarantees views: the video comes first. A good caption still helps: a first line that hooks, what the video does not say, a question that sparks replies and a few hashtags that really describe the topic.
How many hashtags should I use on TikTok?
TikTok does not set a number. The generator suggests three to five per caption, from the most specific to the broadest, and leaves out the ones that say nothing about the video, like #fyp or #foryou.
Caption or subtitles: what is the difference?
The caption is the text written under the video, also called the description: that is what this tool writes. Subtitles show what is said in the video; TikTok can create them automatically, separately.
Can I get a caption in French?
Yes: pick “French” as the caption language. The hashtags follow the same language.
What happens to my video description?
It is only used to write your captions. We do not keep it or link it to any account.
Are the captions unique?
They are written for each request from your description. Run it again for three new ones, and feel free to edit the one you like best.
