Post to your social media from ChatGPT
On its own, ChatGPT publishes nothing: it has no access to your accounts. With the Kreatoai plugin, it can: text, images and video on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Bluesky and Google Business, right away or at the time you choose, from a normal chat. This guide covers the whole setup and your first posts, with the exact prompts, the rules each network enforces and the fixes for common problems.

The seven steps

Connect your social accounts to Kreatoai

Create an account, then connect each network from Connected accounts. Every network uses its official login, so you see the usual Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn or Google screen (for Bluesky, an app password created on Bluesky). This is the only place your networks are ever authorised. ChatGPT talks to Kreatoai, never to your networks directly.
- Connect everything you might post to now. An account added later needs nothing more on the ChatGPT side.
- Instagram needs a professional account (business or creator).
- Facebook connects Pages, not personal profiles. LinkedIn connects your personal profile. YouTube connects the channel you pick on the Google screen. Google Business connects the business profiles you choose.

Install the Kreatoai plugin in ChatGPT

Open the Kreatoai listing in the ChatGPT plugin directory and install it. A Kreatoai screen opens and asks you to allow ChatGPT to read your accounts and publish. Allow it: you are back in ChatGPT. In a new chat, type @ and pick Kreatoai.
Add Kreatoai manually

Open chatgpt.com/plugins, select the plus button, then Add custom MCP server.

Enter a name and a description, for example Kreatoai and “Publish and schedule on my social media”. Under Connection, paste the server URL:

Choose OAuth authentication. Read the warning, select I understand and want to continue, then Create as a plugin.

Install the plugin. A Kreatoai screen opens: sign in, review the permissions, then click Allow.

Check that ChatGPT can see your accounts

Start a new chat and ask for your accounts. This checks two things: the plugin answers in this chat, and you get the exact name of each account to use in your later prompts.

What happens
- ChatGPT asks Kreatoai and shows you each connected account: the network, the name, and what a post there needs (text is enough, an image or a video, or a video).
- If no account is connected, it tells you so and gives you the link to Connected accounts.
Several accounts on one network? Name the one you want, for example “my Bright Studio Facebook Page”. Otherwise the post goes to that network’s default account, or ChatGPT asks you which one.

Schedule a text post

The simplest case: nothing to upload. Facebook, LinkedIn, Bluesky and Google Business accept text only.
Prompt
Schedule this on my Facebook Page and on LinkedIn for tomorrow at 9 am: “Our new opening hours start on Monday: 8 am to 7 pm, no break.”
What happens
- The first time it wants to publish, ChatGPT may ask you to confirm the action.
- It creates one post, with your text unchanged, on both accounts, scheduled for 9 am tomorrow.
- At 9 am, Kreatoai publishes on each account and records the result of each one: the link to the post, or the network’s exact error.
Say “now” instead of a time to publish right away.
Want ChatGPT to write the text? Ask it for drafts, read them, then tell it which one to schedule.
The post also shows up in your dashboard, in Calendar and in Scheduled, where you can edit or cancel it.

Post an image, or a carousel

An image has to reach Kreatoai first. Give ChatGPT a public URL that points straight at the file: it hands it to Kreatoai for you. For a photo on your phone or computer, use the upload link from step 6, which also takes several photos at once.
Prompt
Get the image at https://example.com/poster.png and schedule it on Instagram and Facebook for Friday at noon, with the caption “Open house on Saturday”. Add “Sign up by direct message” as the first comment on Instagram.
What happens
- Kreatoai fetches the image and prepares it for the networks.
- ChatGPT schedules the post for Friday at noon, with your caption unchanged and the first comment on Instagram.
- On Friday at noon, Instagram and Facebook each publish on their own, and each reports its own result.
Carousel: give several URLs, or drop several photos through the upload link, and ask for one post. Up to 10 files per post. On LinkedIn, several images become a PDF carousel; on TikTok, a photo carousel.
Accepted images: JPEG, PNG and WebP. An iPhone HEIC photo must be exported as JPEG first.

Post a video from your phone or computer

A video on your phone or computer has no public URL. So Kreatoai gives ChatGPT an upload link: you drop the file there, and the post goes out on its own.

I have a video on my phone. Schedule it on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube for tomorrow at 6 pm, with a text tuned to each network, and give me the link to upload it.
What happens
- ChatGPT creates the post, which waits for its file, and gives you an upload link. It lasts seven days.
- Open the link in any browser, on the phone the video is on if you like, and drop the file: MP4, MOV or WebM, up to 512 MB. On a computer, a QR code opens the same page on your phone.
- You have nothing to paste back into ChatGPT. Tomorrow at 6 pm, Kreatoai publishes on all three networks and records the result of each one.
The upload link, as it opens in the browser. Same video, different times? Ask for YouTube at noon, TikTok at 1 pm and Instagram at 6 pm, for example: ChatGPT creates three posts that share the same link, and you drop the file only once.
The file goes from your device straight to Kreatoai, never through ChatGPT. Several photos dropped together make a carousel.
Want to add a trending sound on TikTok? Ask for a TikTok draft: the video lands in your TikTok app, where you finish it.

Check what is scheduled and what went out

Two prompts worth keeping at hand: they are the difference between thinking it went out and knowing it did.

What happens
- ChatGPT reads your latest posts in Kreatoai, with their date and their accounts.
- For one post, it gives the status of each account: published, with its link, or failed, with the network’s error.
Your posts also show up in the dashboard, in Calendar, Scheduled and Published, where you can edit or cancel the ones that have not gone out yet. A post that failed on one network still went out on the others.
To move or fix a post that has not gone out yet, just ask: “Move my Thursday post to Friday at 9 am.”
The network rules
They come from the networks themselves, or from Kreatoai. ChatGPT knows them and tells you when a post cannot go somewhere, but it is faster to know them before you ask.

Good habit: ask for drafts first, read them, then have the one you keep scheduled. ChatGPT writes, you approve.
Troubleshooting
ChatGPT says it cannot post, or does not mention Kreatoai
The plugin is not active in this chat. Check that it shows as connected in the ChatGPT settings, start a new chat, type @ and pick Kreatoai.
It says no account is connected
Connect your networks in Connected accounts, then ask again. Nothing to redo on the ChatGPT side.
It asks which account to use
You have more than one account on that network. Name the one you want in the prompt, and it stops asking.
The image or video URL did not work
It has to be public and point straight at the file, not at a page that shows the file. A Google Drive or Dropbox share page will not work. For a private file or one on your device, ask for an upload link.
An iPhone photo is rejected
HEIC is not accepted. Export the photo as JPEG, then drop it again.
The post failed on one network but not the others
Each network publishes on its own: one failure does not stop the rest. Ask for the result per network. ChatGPT gets the exact error, for example a video too long for a story, and can schedule again once you fix the cause.
It scheduled for the wrong hour
ChatGPT turns your prompt into a date and a time, with a time zone. Say the time zone or the city if you are travelling, and check the time it shows before you accept. To fix it, ask it to move the post.
The upload link no longer works
As long as the post is waiting for its file, ask ChatGPT to give you the link for that post again: it gets a fresh one, nothing to recreate. Once the file is dropped, the link stops working.

Frequently asked questions
Can ChatGPT post to social media by itself?
No. On its own, ChatGPT has no access to your accounts: it can only write. With the Kreatoai plugin, it publishes and schedules on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Bluesky and Google Business, on the accounts you connected to Kreatoai, and checks whether each post went out.
How do I install the Kreatoai plugin in ChatGPT?

Can ChatGPT post to Instagram and TikTok?

Can I post a video from my phone through ChatGPT?
Yes, with an upload link. Ask ChatGPT for one: you open the link in any browser, drop the video or the photos, and the post goes out on its own at the planned time. Videos up to 512 MB, link valid for seven days.
Can ChatGPT schedule posts instead of publishing right away?
Yes. Give a date and a time, and the post waits for it. Before it goes out, you can ask ChatGPT to move it, change its text or cancel it. There is no automatic queue: each post has its own time.
Will it publish texts I have not seen?
Only if you ask it to. The plugin publishes what you give it. If you want ChatGPT to write, ask for drafts and choose yourself. Before publishing, ChatGPT may ask you to confirm the action.
Can ChatGPT read my post analytics?
No. The plugin publishes, schedules, edits and checks that a post went out, with its link. Analytics are read on each network.
Does ChatGPT see my passwords?
No. Your networks are connected to Kreatoai through their official login, and ChatGPT only accesses your Kreatoai workspace: never your passwords, your network access, your private messages or your payment details. You can remove its access at any time in Settings, Claude and API, Connected apps.
Does the same setup work in Claude?
Yes. Kreatoai is a standard MCP server: the same URL works in Claude, Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP clients. There is also an API for your scripts.
What does it cost?
The plugin is included in every plan, the free one included. Without a plan, 10 posts a month are free, no card needed. Plans start at $9 a month.
